NBC's Ford Ironman World Championship broadcast will recapture race-day energy and excitement through athlete interviews, inspirational stories and dramatic coverage of the professional field.
Michael Weiss raced in the professional men's field representing Austria for the second year in a row. The 2009 Ironman World Championship was Weiss's first full Ironman distance triathlon and he finished 25th in 8:55:54.
Michael's successful 2009 Ironman debut encouraged him to move to the United States and train predominately in the mountains of Colorado where he continued to build his strength and focus on the swim with world renowned coaches.
