Michi was the overall race winner in a time of 1:49:39. He exited the water in less than 20 minutes and quickly took his place as the race leader in the first section of the bike.
The 40K bike course consisted of two flat, fast loops which Michi had behind him in approximately 51 minutes. His extensive cycling experience paired with hard altitude training in Colorado gave him a dominating lead going into the 10K run portion of the race. Michi maintained more than a five minute gap between himself and second place finisher, Eric Limkemann, as he came into the finish.
Michael's performance in the SuperSeal was strong and balanced. He will use this positive race experience in preparation for Ironman St. George on May 1st where hopes are high for a 2010 Kona slot.
